US retailer Target has launched a new promotion that’ll get you a free 128GB microSD card when you buy two digital Nintendo Switch games.
This officially licensed Nintendo Switch SD card would usually set you back in the region of about $30, so it’s not a bad freebie. Especially one that gives a solid boost to your console’s storage capacity for game installs and downloads. Of course, though, that has to come alongside buying two full-price $60 Switch games, which is a hefty chunk of change.
Nevertheless, games available in the promotion include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Many other major first-party releases are in there as well, so it’s definitely not lacking in quality.
Remember, too, that these are digital copies of the games, so you’ll have to ensure you have enough free storage on your console for them. That would be why Target is including the SD card for free, then.
If you’ve noticed your console’s space is running low and it’s just an SD card you’re after, I’d recommend grabbing this unbranded 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSD for $21.99 instead. It’ll perform exactly the same as the Nintendo branded one, but will save you a bit of cash as it doesn’t have their name printed all over it.
